YHWH the only way

After having reminded the people all that YHWH, the Word and Works of their ‘elohiym, had done for them, and after they had gained a foothold in the promised land, Joshua asks a pivotal question, ‘who are you committed to?’

Joshua 24:15

New King James Version (NKJV)

15 And if it seems ‘evil’ (‘evel: unjust, unrighteous(ness), etc..), to you to serve ‘the Lord’ (YHWH: the Name, Word and Works, of our ‘elohiym), choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether ‘the gods’ (ha’elohiym: the magistrates, great, mighty – ones) which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or ‘the gods’ (ha’elohiym: the magistrates, great, mighty – ones) of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve ‘the Lord’ (YHWH: the Name, Word and Works, of Israel’s ‘elohiym).”
