To believe is to obey – is to do, what the Father (YHWH) says: A calling that met on death ears!

Deuteronomy 9:23

New King James Version (NKJV)

23 Likewise, when ‘the Lord’ (YHWH: the Name, Word and Works, of our /Jacob’s Elohiym) sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, ‘Go up and possess the land which ‘I’ (Ga’al: [your] deliver(-er), [Your] Redeem(-ers) have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of ‘the Lord’ (YHWH) your ‘God’ (Elohiym: Magistrates, Great, Mighty – ones, etc..), and you did not believe ‘Him’ ([ha-]‘Iysh: the Husbandman, the Steward, etc..) nor obey ‘His’ ([ha -] Ga’al: [the] redeem(-er’s), [the] Deliverer’s, etc..)  voice’ (qowl: call aloud, proclamation, etc..).”

A calling that continues in YH’shua, the obedient son!!!!
